ELT Symposium in Natal | 20 Aug, 2016

Dear TESOLer,

The profile of the students we teach nowadays is very different from the learners we used to teach 20 years ago. That’s all very well. However, how can we, as teachers, adapt to the changing times and provide the so-called Generation Net (or Millennials) with an excellent language education? This and several other questions will be discussed by facilitators and participants at our upcoming ELT (English Language Teaching) event in Natal, RN, Brazil:

There will be four inspiring plenary talks by experts in the ELT field and colleagues from Natal, João Pessoa, Recife, Curitiba, the USA, the UK and beyond will be running concurrent workshops on a variety of interesting topics. The QUAQ (Quasi Actors Quartet) will add lustre to the event with performances of hilarious ELT sketches! A Pecha Kucha evening will close this event which promises to be nothing short of outstanding.

Registrations are now open and free for those who register by the 18th of August. However, on site registrations will cost R$ 50,00 (Fifty Reais). We have a limited number of seats, so we are forced to operate on a first-come first-serve basis (as soon as we reach the maximum number of participants, registrations will close).  To register, please send your name, phone number and institution you work for to Ercília Dâmaris at braztesolrn@gmail.com by noon of the 18th of August (Thursday). Digital certificates will be issued to all those who attend the symposium.

Be on the look out as we will announce further details on the programme very soon!

Best wishes,

Fernando Guarany
